I saw this this morning on my local Craigslist. Just thought that with the recent threads on rambler, someone might be interested. I would love to have it just because of the manual tranny.... greenhornetlady 71 and 72 Hornet Sportabouts --- On Sat, 2/20/10, amc-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx <amc-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: From: amc-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx <amc-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: AMC-list Digest, Vol 11, Issue 52 To: amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Saturday, February 20, 2010, 12:00 PM Send AMC-list mailing list submissions to amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to amc-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx You can reach the person managing the list at amc-list-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxx When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of AMC-list digest..." I can see how that would happen fairly frequently. And not that cranks are perfectly balanced at the factory to begin with. Ever? I mean specific for that engine, not just 'it fits'. Even the flathead had that Edmund's head, even if it was from the Nash days. Really not one? A 1960's JC Whitney catalog might have something. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... That's "performance", but it wasn't an aftermarket part. I sent an email out to Glen. Below is his response. Armand Hi Armand, We don't have any plans for a 360 AMC piston. I have a stock replacement in the Silvolite OE aftermarket brand. It has a large dish at 3.600 diameter with a depth of .190 which equates to a 32.5cc displacement. The bore size and wrist pin size is the deferring factors along with the high costs of mold development. I would have to have a lot of interest in this application, what I mean is a market to sell it so I can justify producing it. Take care, Glen ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bruce Hevner" <scramblr@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, February 18, 2010 9:22 AM Subject: [AMC-list] 360 Pistons, time to take action > OK ya-all here's the deal. I wandered over to the small grocery store yesterday to pick up stuff for the night. A guy in a Dodge conversion van slowed down, honked and waved while I was waiting to turn. Cool. Today I did the first half of my Saturday shop. Major fresh produce, paper supplies and dairy from Costco. Was wandering home and a family pulled up along side and stopped beside me. The wife/mom rolled down her window and asked what year the Rambler was and liked it. Cool. She said she'd be afraid of getting it hit - and I said me too. I SHOULD have said they are fun to drive and you can pick up a sedan pretty inexpensively. Oh well, I'll work on the holler back. Now off to Publix for incidentals and the accountant for tax fun. Put put put put .....
