I doubt there's any problem with oil volume in this motor, but the head bleeds off an inexact amount. I found on the motor I yanked that the rear camshaft seal (welch plug) was leaking. It wasn't just the rear main seal. It was a fairly large leak too. I think that's close to the end of the oil circuit but I haven't checked. I never ran a pressure gauge on this motor, since I didn't know before/after it would have just alarmed me.
