Nowadays to do business with the big boys you need to have some sort of certified management system in place and usually along with that you must have a certified environmental management system. These ISO systems impose ethics on you. You can't operate unethically because you have to stay within the guidelines of the certification system. If you don't do that you have to document it as a nonconformance and then you have to correct it. I know with all the greed on Wall Street and the corporate mavericks that make the news, it's easy to assume that corporations are bad, but there are lots of companies at least in the U.S.out there just trying to color within the lines and make still make a profit. I'll get off the stump now.
