That's the wrong attitude.  Part of the fun of old cars is multiple trips to 
the hardware and auto parts stores.  You buy something and it doesn't fit 
when you get home.  Back to the store.  Finally you use JB Weld and a big 
hammer.  Or you catch it on fire with the torch.

In answer to your question, I don't really know, but 5/16" jumps to mind for 
some reason.  Buy a couple of each, just in case.
