[AMC-list] GET YOUR AMC FEATURED IN A NATIONAL CAR MAGAZINE

Happy New Year to everyone. It's been a long, long time since I last
posted here, but I've been busy helping to launch a new magazine, Chevy
Enthusiast. No I haven't gone over to the dark side, I'm still
red-white-and-blue AMC through and through, but the opportunity to
launch a new magazine was too good to pass up; it's something I always
wanted to do.
But I still contribute to many magazines and one of them came to me with
a very AMC-specific editorial opportunity. I am looking for an pre-1970
AMC (or other independent branded car) that looks essentially stock on
the outside but can be running modern upgrades underneath and in the
interior. This editor prefers that the wheels look stock although they
can be bigger diameter and wider, or can be period-correct, such as
something like Torq-Thrusts.
I remember back at the 2002 Kenosha show, as I own three Americans and
Rogues myself, that there were many really cool Americans and Rogues,
somewith really well-done interior treatments.
So if you think you have a AMC that fits these criteria or knows someone
who does, please contact me direct at richt (a) automotivetraveler dot
com with the particulars. If you have some photos, please send them
along. There are very tight time constraints on this as this opportunity
came about because another car won't be available for a photo shoot by
the end of this week. It will be best if the car is in Southern
California where I live or North Carolina where the editor lives so that
one of us can get the needed shots. If not in either of those locations,
then still contact me as either I can send you a primer on how to shoot
your car or the editor can arrange for another contributor to get your
car photographed.
This is a great opportunity for someone to get a stealth-looking
pre-1970 AMC featured in a major magazine.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to write me direct at richt
(a) automotivetraveler dot com.
Best wishes,
Rich Truesdell
