i'm surprised and pleased to learn this. the only 4sp tf with an amc
bell afaik is the 42re and i'd understood it was difficult/impossible
to de-electronify the o/d on them. good to know that's wrong!
otoh someone [donato maybe?] has started advertising 47rh/48rh built
for bear and fitting several engines including amc... but they
definitely require converter-housing surgery to do it. iirc they were
cutting and welding the cases.
