I have the back panel out of my 69 rambler. Gauges board and all. Worked good when pulled. Since I have two more complete panels $15 plus shipping. No face/front plate! Probably have lenses for most of the gauges. I put a full compliment of auto meter sport comp gauges in mine. The factory fix is to replace the fuel gauge but those can be hard to find. You may be able to replace the mechanical voltage regulator with a solid state version but I'm not aware of anyone who has done this to this type of regulator. Tom Jennings has a page at http://wps.com//AMC/dashreg/index.html that describes what he did for a car that has it as part of the circuit board. Another alternative is to check with places that repair gauges and see if they can fix yours. AMC used Stewart Warner gauges so hopefully, the guts aren't all that much of an oddball. Tests show no problem with the circuit board, fusel panel and the gages. The voltage regulator is part of the fuel gage sending unit and also controls the temp gage. Any idea if some other component could cause the problem? All the grounds tested good. > > Regards,Sheldon > > > Rmany blessings > > > > -------------- next part -------------- > An HTML attachment was scrubbed... > URL: <http://list.amc-list.com/pipermail/amc-list-amc-list.com/attachments/20100101/5103d241/attachment.htm> > _______________________________________________ > AMC-list mailing list > AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx > http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com > > > -- mhaas@xxxxxxx Cincinnati, OH http://www.mattsoldcars.com 1967 Rambler American wagon 1968 Rambler American sedan ================================================================= According to a February 2003 survey of Internet holdouts released by UCLA's Center for Communication Policy, people cite not having a computer as the No. 1 reason they won't go online. _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
