Good morning, Joe:Grant Miller bought the car at Tom Mack's sale for just under $7k with commissions. He sold it to a friend of his who then I acquired it from. So basically it's just been bouncing around with a bunch of folks who know each other from the collector automobile auction circuit, we've been sharing its caretaker-ship.
For now, I'm preserving it here until someone else wants it worse than I do. I drove it to an antiques auction on Wednesday night and managed to elicit some fun conversations from folks who appreciated it.
Are there any budding Steve Greens out here? At 10:27 AM 12/12/2009, you wrote:
Some of the results of the Steve Green auction were posted on the web. Does anyone know what that Matty sold for at auction? 'Also, if there WERE an AMC museum somewhere, maybe Kenosha, that car and cars like it should be preserved for posterity.Joe Fulton (who won't be donating anything soon either) --- On Sat, 12/12/09, William 'Chip' Lamb <chip@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > From: William 'Chip' Lamb <chip@xxxxxxxxxx> > Subject: [AMC-list] One of the nicer Steve Green Collection cars > To: amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Date: Saturday, December 12, 2009, 7:15 AM > Here's something for the AMC list to > enjoy looking at on a Saturday morning - a '71 Matador with > under 9,700 original miles. > > http://richmond.craigslist.org/cto/1504812649.html > > Chip > 40 Nash Ambassador Six convertible, 4021 > 71 Matador
