Me neither. Never crossed my mind. Will a 69 starter bolt up to a 64? I'd offer one if I had two things. 1. An idea of if it would fit 2. An idea as to where the one off of mine is! I know I never sold or junked it but, where is it? ------Original Message------ From: Tom Jennings Sender: amc-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx To: AMC, Rambler, Nash, Jeep and family ReplyTo: AMC, Rambler, Nash, Jeep and family Subject: Re: [AMC-list] 2bbl intake/exhaust manifold woe's Sent: Nov 22, 2009 2:16 PM > Tom's engine must have come from a 69-71 donor. > > Yup. As I said at the start, a 1970 232ci six in a 1963 Classic chassis (and bolted to a 1965 BW air cooled auto trans). There's a "Ford type" solenoid on the driver side inner fender, hence the one fat wire to the motor. I didn't realize this was an issue; I didn't realize that Delco-Remy types with the solenoid on the starter was used on the pre-72's. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
