You're right, some of them are unusably lousy (might as well run a T4). I better cobble up a whole spreadsheet for the T5 and axles. I've been thinking only of the top two gears really. > pps. off your budget, but i wonder what stockton wheel would charge to > put 16x7" [say] rims on amc centers... 225/55 are about 26"! Just all new steel wheels with 4.5 x 5 pattern and offset to spec, about $120 each. I swear I paid $50 each for the ones I have, wheelvintiques.com12 series smoothies but they're not listed as available and comparable are now $100. Two years price change? I filled out one of those quote forms for Stockton, but irritatingly clicking SUBMIT does nothing. I'll call on Monday. What I'm trying to do is juggle wheel, tire, shock, trans options for optimum performance and cost. Maybe I should be looking for import car transmissions, since overwhelming HP is not an issue for me. The TBI fuel injection I'm moving on ASAP. It's a done deal. That guy that Joe Fulton turned me on to is actively working on the adapter for a Ford 1bbl throttle body and one more pass and it will be right. I bought the computer, hacked with a socket, have pigtails for it, have fuel pump etc. Only thing not planned out is the throttle linkage and that I'll just build on the car at the last minute. Got the alternator bracket all fabricated yesterday, for high mount on passenger side. Clean and neat. Re-plumbed the PCV already (valve cover to PCV) I'll see if that makes it suck oil. Factory PCV slightly interferes with new alternator placement. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
