> I guess maybe my 60 series fronts are then considered to wide? > I think it seems to handle pretty darned good with lowering plates, old > V8 spec coils, and gabriel gas shocks. > It's more the 40, 35, etc series, the super low stuff, that was the 'buyers remorse' that my old tire place used to talk about... they go for some 'look' (which personally I hate, but hey, each his own) 18" wheels with 30 series rubber bands over them and it rides like crap. Bang! Bang! over every pothole. I've got 215/65's, and yeah, those are big! but they're great. Ride is good and handles fine. Lowering plates is the right way, that's probably why you are happy with it. Still decent sidewall with 60 series. Go to a large Advance auto or Napa, they often have boxes of different > size bronze pilots. ...I think you can even buy the oiled bronze in chunks > or rods if needed. > Yup. And I have a little desktop lathe at work perfect for this. I did see that Industrial Metal SUpply stocks oilite sintered bronze, so worst case I make my own. Least of my worries at this point! > > Note: Advance auto often has 3-4 stores in one town. "There are 0 stores within 50 miles". I do have NAPA. Looks like a Least Coast chain. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
