After reading this thread I'm more confused than when I started! I take it the National 5778 is the WRONG part. I think I can get calipers on the pinion shaft to get the approximate ID, but that will ahve to wait until later this weekend. I wish I had a spare subassembly. It always makes jobs like this easier.
