I would assume (I know! never) the most damage would be the fusible link and maybe the alternator. I would guess that when the battery was incorrectly connected, the ignition key was in the "off" position.? If so, wouldn't that alone have prevented damage to the majority of the circuitry?? Wouldn't the juice have stopped at the stater relay and/or the ignition switch, except for devices that are powered on when the key is in the "off" position?
