[AMC-list] Fw: wiring for 1977 hornet amx tach

The folks below are looking to retrofit a 77 AMX tachometer into their 73 Hornet hatchback. I emailed them schematic of 77 AMX wiring diagram, but figured some of you might want to comment also, thanks in advance to all who might and be sure to also copy your reply to Dudley who would appreciate it.

I have a 1973 hornet hatchback 258 that I want to install a tach in.  I have a 6-cyl tach from a 1977 hornet AMX.  Looking at the back of the tach, the left connection has a black wire.  The right connection has both a brown wire and a yellow wire.  The light bulb has an orange wire.  Can you tell me where to hook the black, yellow, and brown wires.  I looked at the tach diagrams on your website for 68-70 and 71-74 AMX/Javelin and think the 70-74 digram may be close.
