My oldest son works at a dealership. I picked him up after work and we
drove down new car dealer lane (Cobb Parkway). We passed a Ford
dealership and saw what looked like a pretty nice mid 80's Mustang
T-Top in a huge dumpster out front (I guess just to show potential
customers they are doing deals).

I don't know. I guess it does drive business, but I hated seeing that
Mustang T-Top getting trashed. Seems exactly opposite what we should
be doing in terms of re-use, re-cycle. But you guys are right - you'd
save more by not buying a new car and not having payments.
