Jim, Do you have any pictures of the pistons and does it have the 291 heads? Not sure when the last 10.2:1 401 was built but it probably didn't go too far into the production year. There are many people over the years who felt they never made them. I have had a couple to prove they did. One was in my 71 (which I still own) that was the 47th car to come off the line by VIN number. It had the 51 cc heads and a high compression piston (factory AMC part not after market) It didn't have a CID number on the block either. They got the 10.2 compression with the head and piston combo. That is why there is really 3 different compression ratios in 71. The increased the head chamber at one point in the year and the piston volume at another point. Nick Alfano Performance 4849-76 st. Are there records with this list or somewhere that would show the last one? I may have found one or at least close.
