[AMC-list] Quad 4 in 58-60 Rambler

The Q4 seems to fit really good! This fellow removed the original heater
so he'd have room for plumbing a blower. The engine could easily be set
slightly forward (maybe an inch more than this guy did) with the
original intake and still clear the original heater. No cutting of the
inner wheel wells required! The only other engine known to fit with no
cutting is the Ford 200/250 six. Some of the other front drive engines
may fit, but generally the intakes are in the rear and extend too far
from the engine. On the Q4 the intake curves up and over the valve
cover. There's another problem with most front drive engines too --
finding a rear drive trans that will bolt up. A special bell is made for
the Q4 because it has gathered a lot of hot-rodder interest -- it
resembles the old dual cam Offy that dominated Indy in the 50s.
