I have a '62 TSM here at work (doesn't everyone?). It shows that the original coil + feed wire color is BLACK. I forget what year yours is. It doesn't show any yellow wire under the hood at all. The only yellow wire in the front of a breadbox american is front turn/park lights. So you must have a later model? It may be a sign of mental illness, but I remember most of the AMC color coding scheme. The early americans are Nashes though, and amusingly, the colors are all somber conservative colors (with exceptions). Black, brown, blue, green predominate under the hood. AMC colors more lively. Go figure. Probably some effect of modern plastic pigments available, but whatever, it's visible there... At least it's not fabric covered!
