Bruce, Either your starter solenoid and ceramic block are cross wired, make sure that you follow the wiring diagram as shown in your TSM... I used to have that same problem with my 1970 Rebel 6 cyl. Was all nice and happy and ready to take a test drive. I figured I'd shut it off first and restart it. The car kept running when I turned the ignition key off. Kept running after I removed the key. I pulled the wire between the coil and the distributor to shut it off - and disconnected the battery. Not sure what is hacked. I did replace the coil and Pertronix before this happened. That's what got the car running again. What would cause it to keep running, even with the key off (or out?) _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
