Yeah, Ain't it grand? tire sizing is like contrast ratios and other specs on new flat screens. No one plays the same game! I've seen 70 series tires of one brand wider than 60 series of another. It really pays to get a look at the exact tire in question before it is mounted and balanced. I just had 235/70/15 cooper cobras put on our Jeep Cherokee, noticeably narrower than the Tigerpaws we took off. Surprised me as I never expect that of the coopers. Not a big deal as I don't care much on the Jeep. Definitely something to bear in mind when buying tires online, or dropping a car off and buying on size alone. Tread width is certainly different. http://s143.photobucket.com/albums/r122/AMCKenA/?action=view¤t=NC155.jpg Ken _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
