[AMC-list] Hornet / Duraspark saga - FIXED?! Will know for sure this weekend...

Jerry sez... " Nah, I wasn't going there, Mark! LOL. I figured it was probably another issue,and it was. I cut off the clip-ons tonight, and managed to find exactly TWO 10-32 nuts in my hardware stash, same size even. I crimped the new ring terminals on, and tightened her down, and then after applying my new County Sticker to the front glass, I hit the road locally. I drove it around for about 20 minutes, and it never burped or cut off once. I THINK my problem is solved, but until I get some more driving time under my belt in it, I'm not going to take it very far at all...especially with a blown muffler! LOL. Sounds kinda good, I may get something like a glass-pack for it now as well.  :D

  Anyway, looks like my ignition woes are over for the moment, I'm very pleased with the new set-up, NOW that it's working about right. LOL. Fix the muffler this weekend if possible,and I'll be very happy with the progress... might try to replace the leaky valve cover gasket as well. AFter that, I'll try to get to the broken driver's door outside handle, won't open from that side. Plenty of little stuff to attend to.  :) Anyway, thanks for the advice, the ring terminal and nut job seems to have done the trick nicely. All for now! "
