I don't know what is correct. I know when I installed that setup in mine I was told to feed it 12volts so I did. I stripped the resistance wire out and ran a new wire from the ign switch to the coil. I have no idea as to if that was right or wrong! The distributer I sent Jerry came from an 81 CJ the box was an AMC box, but I can't remember exactly where it came from. IIRC, I was told to use a box with blue plastic around where the wires exit the block, I'm pretty sure that is what that box has. I sent Jerry two harnesses of sorts, the one I cut out of my American and an engine harness with duraspark connectors I had from an 82 Mustang I parted out years ago. That's pretty much all I can remember about duraspark at this point. With the key on there should be " 6+-.5 volts at the green wire on the coil. When you turn the key to start this " should move to battery (12+-) voltage. what makes this confusing is that this is duraspark -II-. the briefly used duraspark -I- ['76? '75?] did -not- have an external coil resistance. the modules are very similar; i can't tell if they're actually the same or not. ________________________________________________________________________ Andrew Hay the genius nature internet rambler is to see what all have seen adh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and think what none thought _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
