As far as I can recall all mine have used plain old flat washers and small cotter keys. I've always replaced the cotter keys with hair pins too -- easier to work with. --------- Date: Sat, 28 Mar 2009 19:42:38 -0700 (PDT) From: Joe Fulton <piper_pa20@xxxxxxxxxxx> I have a 64 Classic with column shift and overdrive I would like to drive this summer. The shift linkage was dismantled and parts were lost before I got the car. Can someone look carefully at how the shift rods are connnected to the levers on the column shifter and describe the fasteners for me? I have used wave washers and hairpins but I'm not sure this is correct. The TSM does not show the fasteners and I don't have a 63/64 parts book. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
