I have never subscribed to a daily newspaper. I've hit that 50, and went beyond it - but have avoided the local daily news like a plague. Lately, I figured I'd subscribe and read over morning coffee. Each day the paper has been thin, thin, thin!!!! While in college I did a side gig as a stringer for a weekly paper, and found it fun. Not lucrative at all, but fun. I'm sure it is even less lucrative now. But that is entirely beside the point of this post. I got the Friday paper today, and it was hugely thick. Wow, I thought - there must be really cool special Friday sections! No, there weren't. I opened up the paper and saw over 75 pages of foreclosure and tax sale notices. 75 pages. In a nice town near Atlanta, where I thought things were going okay-ish. So I read online news, and watch news at night (sometimes). But it hasn't been so clear to me as hefting the foreclosure section on a Friday paper. Rambler content? Beats all heck out of me. We'll just call it off topic and filter it out. _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
