are you sure it is the front seal on the trans and not the rear main seal on
the engine? there is an inspection cover that covers the flywheel. pull it
off and verify if it is front seal on trans or rear engine seal. if front
seal, trans will need pulled. it is easy to change when trans is out. pull
trans out of  bellhousing. leave bell hooked to engine. front bearing cover
will come off and you can change the seal. i am going by memory, but i
beleive it was easy to do. been a while since i messed with one of them.
someone with more knolege will probably chime in with more detail.
