I did one several years ago. The chassis in the kit is the same one as the
earlier models like the Ambassador & Marlin so it's got a torque tube and
single exhaust. Dash has circular speedometer. Engine has two 4bbl carbs on
a crossram. Front suspension isn't even close. I agree the list of
inaccuracies is numerous but it's really not a bad kit. The biggest bummer
is the second issue kit doesn't have the stock "THE MACHINE" decals. The
original issue does but there's only 3 instead of 4 (one goes on glovebox
door).
I used the SC/Rambler speedometer and reworked the chassis to include dual
exhaust and no torque tube. Also included strut rods.
