Personaly I always have considered GM to be like some of the dealers and other businedd owners out and about. They start out making a few items or doing a few things and it works. They start to branch out. Making or offering more and more items. Instead of securing there nitch they go for it ALL. They over extend and get to big and lose sight of their origins. They want everything, every market covered. I have seen it local quite a few times now! Dealer goes from used cars to new cars, then they start gathering up every brand they can snag! They get ever progressively larger, then seemingly overnight the brands dissapear and soon they are selling one or two lines, or none. The difference in the outcome seems to be many years longer for GM than the smaller outfits. But if they are not careful may be exactly the same. I mean, what did the Firebird and Camaro ever compete against besides each other? jl _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
