I got my self back to work on my American. I had previously painted my intake plate to match the engine. A coat of primer and some blue plate. Looked snazzy, but the paint started coming up when I leaked gas on it. Spent some time today stripping it. It's close to where it needs to be - and some time with a razor and some sandpaper is getting it closer. Any recommendations for polishing it? Use a dremmel or some such? Not sure if I want to polish it, or just clean it as the car will be a driver - but if I were? A dremmel, or some emery cloth and a double shot of coffee? Once clean, do I leave it bare metal, or? It's from a 196 OHV and is aluminum. The car will not be a show car. Hopefully it will be a grocery-getter, take the dogs and a kid camping car. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
