The '81 Eagle wagon I have and the '80 that a fellow AMC-lister had that I used to help maintain before he moved to Mexico both have 3.08 ratio (with auto) If I could get a garage to work in, I would probably do the pre-runner set up still (I know, I know! I'm waffling. I feel a lot better since 2 more bad teeth were pulled today and root canal was done on another) Wish I could just close in my current car port and make a little shop (just for my own toys!) To: mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx Message-ID: Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed 82 TSM says that Spirit and Concord w/258 and SR4, T-4, or T-5 got 2.35 gears stock. CA cars got 2.53, and towing option got 2.73 (Concord only on the tow option). Eagles got a 2.73 or 2.35 for manual trannys (2.35 only for 904) w/3.08 for towing. High altitude got 2.73 manual, 2.73 or 3.31 auto. If you want more gear, the four cylinder Concord/Spirit got 3.08s with all trannys. That shouldn't be too hard to find. A 2.73 Eagle axle shouldn't be too hard to find either, but you have to change the leaf spring seats from above to below the axle. Just buy new seats from a 4x4 shop and weld on, leave the old ones up top -- won't hurt a thing! _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live™: E-mail. Chat. Share.
