my 62 classic had the holes for seatbelts. i didnt care about not having them. but one of the gate gaurds when i was at ft. sill, ok used to always give me crap, and one of my nco's used to tell me he was taking my keys when i drove that car cause its a "safety" issue with no belts. army is all gung ho nuts about "safety" crap. before you go on vacation, they got to do a safety inspection on your car. check tires, window washer fluid, oil, ect. b.s. anyway... i found the holes like tom said, in line with the rear most the seat sets back. mine are just about 1 1/2-2" wider than the seat tracks. i finally did find some era correct looking latch belt (airliner style) that i put in. my 65 that i had for a while had them in pretty much the same place as the 62. for the rears, you will have to go thru the floor. i dont think you can put shoulder bolts in the older cars. i know on my 62 it aint happenin. dave stohler my rambler pics@ http://picasaweb.google.com/das24rules _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
