Amen.
Though it seems slightly kludgey to use the car, it's convenient and
super-safe. To swap springs, I take the packed-bomb of a spring, put it
under the "frame rail" that runs under the seat (more or less), drop the
car on it, take off the spring compressor, jack the car up. I suppose if
you did this every week it would become PITA, but for once a year the
car is a nice dead weight and if it gets sideways, better under there
than in my shop.
