I have seen your project. It will be cool to see it done at Sturbridge. I am still a ways away from doing the Rambler but I want to be safe when I start. This is where I am at now http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/Superglider/69%20Ambo/P1010105.jpg Once I shoot the color in the engine bay, I will start putting the suspension back in. Seems to me there should be a way to put everything in place and then jack the lower part of the suspension into place with the spring installed. I will have to look at that tonight. When I took it apart I just used a ratcheting strap to keep the spring from flying around. When I unloaded the pressure on the strap the spring did not extend much. I bought my new coils a couple of years ago from ESPO. As I said earlier this project has been mostly dormant for a couple of years. I looked everything over last month and noticed that the new springs do not have the flattend ends like the old springs did. I called ESPO and they said they no linger make them that way and these will work just fine. I have my doubts but they sure don't have a flattened top or bottom to allow safe compression using a car's weight. Hence why I am looking for a true compressor.
