Scratching that head won't make the valve pop up and neither will Head and Shoulders (I can hear the groaning from here) I soak them with PB'Laster (doing the head on my '81 Eagle wagon as it kept losing pushrods due to the early '80s head's guide problems)
   I'm going to test fit my EFI system in the car (I can modify the car with impunity as I don't think it's going back on the road) I may pick up an '83 Spirit to get myself a gas tank and have a diff in my daily driver while I redo the gears in my '82 Spirit to match the AW4 I'm putting in. (I'll also be able to take the trans crossbar out to make a new one for the AW4)

Well, I could press all the valves down with the palm of my hand, except
for the first valve - the one with the bent pushrod. Stuck valve. How
many folks on this email list said stuck valve how many times?
 
Anyway - I'm doing the Kroil thing, but may have to take it back to the
machine shop. I know we did valve jobs in high school, but can't quite
remember what parts and pieces to rent. So - it's either off to the
machine shop or some head scratching time, lol.
