The oiling change occurred for 1964 -- it first appears in the 64 TSM. I've seen a few 63s with the change, so it probably occurred sometime during the model year. No difference in the casting -- just an extra hole drilled in the block. Of course the cam and cam bearing changed, corresponding hole in the bearing and slot in the front cam journal. --------------- Date: Thu, 01 Jan 2009 17:14:53 -0800 From: Tom Jennings <tomj@xxxxxxx> Frank, FYI, the cylinder head is 3157609, which RWB book says is 63-64 195.6. It's odd though that the block doesn't have the front camp bearing oil outlet though. But who knows with old cars what the heck was done... -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
