Keith, My 70 Javelin has 255R45-17 tires on 17 x 8 Ansen Sprint wheels on the back. The wheel wells are not full. I have seen a 70 Javelin with 15 x 10 wheels and very wide tires on it, can't remember what size they were. The fronts on my Javelin are 235R40-17 with 17x 7 Ansen Sprint wheels. I could have actually put the rear wheels and tires on the front and went with wider rear wheels and tires if only Ansen made a wider 17 inch wheel with the correct offset. If you are careful in picking wheels and get the correct offset, you can get a monster tire under a Javelin or AMX. I got pictures of my Javelin if you want to see the wheels and tires. Let me know Armand ----- Original Message ----- From: "Keith Evenson" <epd@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "AMC/Rambler owners, drivers and fans." <amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, December 18, 2008 4:26 PM Subject: [Amc-list] Tire Size > Hey I am looking for some tire size info.
