Of course (murphy's law) I found a usable Stant cap on ePay last night, though not the correct AMC stainless cap I had. a real shame. Oh well it beats aluminum foil and a plastic clip. I loved my 62 Ambassador. Only cars I had more fun in are my current crop of 63's, and all in all they're not that much different. Good luck with the brakes. They are a pain when they're all crapped up from age and wear. The last few sets of drums I did, it ended up being a LOT easier and more satisfying (and less hassle over all) when I pulled the entire brake setup OFF backing plate and all, had all the hard parts hot tanked and media blasted (under $50 at the local machine shop), then welded up the wear grooves, and painted them Eastwood Chassis Black. Like new and cost almost nothing! Wire brush the rest of the suspension parts down there, assemble with good antiseize, man, is it easy to work on then... _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
