A savings of $800 per car does not sound like much, but up until this year, over 16 million new cars were sold in here. If the Big 3 have a 40% market share, they sell approximately 6.4 million cars. At $800 per car, that is a savings of $5.1 billion. Economies of scale add up fast. No one has ever refuted that if all the new cars sold in America were purchased from the Big 3, that this country would be better off. The plants here in America producing cars for foreign owned companies would still be needed to keep up with demand. All the profits made by these foreign companies would be filtered back into the American economy though corporate income taxes paid by the Big 3. Amc content, I could buy more AMC's.
