80 up to be sure you get a lockup model, but, beware, many or the lockups have been disabled in hill country! There was a spring and piston servo that controlled lockup. Remove the spring and replace with a stack of washers disables the locak up IIRC. We did TONS of them! The lockup would shudder at about 45mph and in the hilly terrain around here it was the customers preference they be done away with! -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrac II " I realize that death is inevitable. I just don't want to be around when it happens! " -- Just like the HUDSON overdrive whence came before - one gently 'lifts' off the gas briefly - and in she goes - smooth as silk. Stomp down on the gas & she spins up into the up_shift. These are all Hydraulic transmissions - no Electrics to head South when you least expect it. My unit works flawlessly - I just want more Gears ! 8 would be enough ;-) milnersXcoupe 1981 series50 _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
