Here's a novel idea for big brakes for a vintage Rambler (or other car)... 11" Strange drum brake kits. They come in a Ford bolt pattern (might be, not sure, 4.5x5). A "kit" is $349 or less. If that's two wheels it's a good price for big brakes. Meant for rears, for front just drop the parking bits. Just a perverse idea to make a car different but still brake good. On a little American or Gremlin etc they'd outperform AMC factory discs! PS: Only one day of heavy rain so far, but on that day, the drilled 9" front drums seemed to completely solve the wet-drum problem. I'll wait for a good soaking drive before I post back. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
