Forged pistons and/or E85 would help solve 'some' of the piston issues. Stock engine and 10-psi would be more reasonable for longevity's sake. I read an article on a SBC stroker that was around 10.5:1 compression and then they supercharged it with about 20-lbs boost and E85. No detonation issues.
