Joe, there was a (partial flow motor) oil pump in that pile of sticky stuff that came with the car! I swear I'd looked in there before... So I have that rusty full-flow pump, a partial-flow pump, and an aftermarket remote oil filter kit, and a 195.6ohv in a 63 American. So! * The stock (partial flow pump could be modified to output it's oil to the pump cover with a drilled/tapped hole and a 90 fitting, and plugging the bottom of the pump, or the block. From there, to a hose to the remote filter, and oil returns down to the 1/4" NPT hole that's about 1" above the factory inlet to the main gallery. Would be just fine, but the mods don't fill me with joy. * The full flow pump, with integral filter. Will not fit of course in this chassis, well known problem. The remote filter screw-on adapter has the same problem as the oil filter -- too tall. But my original idea, the full-flow pump, with the adapter removed, and the two ports enlarged and tapped for hoses, would work just fine. Would require lifting or dropping the motor to yank the pump, otherwise it coudl be done in-car. I'll do A if I this full-flow pump is junk and I cannot find a replacement; or B if I can. I'll do this on the new motor. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
