Saw Tom's writeup on this for the sixes. I'm not likely to find
all the parts in any yard around here, but they can easily be
found right off the shelf.

The advantage to HEI would be the internal coil and no external
controller box, but heck, that's no big deal....

Is there any way to tie one of these to a knock sensor?
(thinking out loud as I go...)

It would have to be. I sure can't see any mechanical reason.
