Re: [Amc-list] caspers cancer

Honestly.
If your shell is flexing I would walk away from it.
I would simply start looking for another shell to build on.
Take time, you will find one. Proabably sooner than you save that one.
I know it is special, but if the flex has set you will need a frame guy or some floorpots etc; to tweak it back to square. then brace and repair the structure.

Rebody Casper. He's a ghost anyway...His spirit can live on in another shell!

My Convertible is rough and rusty as Casper, but it is a convertible! It has all the vert bracing and there is a LOT of it!
I can jack under one corner and open and close doors, trunk etc; No flex at all.

Now, maybe the 62's were flexy flyers from the get go? So maybe you are worrying about nothing!
50's studes are known for flexing. Is the 62 body that way? They thought it helped the ride!

If so, measure and tweak then really rebuild, and you wanted a 304 in the end anyway, so build it from the ground up if your going to do it.

If I was not married and did not have commitments, or is that being commited? I would come out and work on Casper to get you started.

Send me gas money and talk my wife into letting me come. I'll bring a 327 and some other misc stuff. You don't need no Steenkin 304...

If the weather would hold this weekend I'd be stripping the flood car. Now that's a piece of crap!
