Dynomax uses a perforated pipe laid across the muffler body at an angle surrounded by loose roving packing, er, fiberglass. I have used them on a couple of Jeeps and one is destined for my WJ at some point. They have a nice sound IMHO. If anything they start out being slightly too quiet, then mellow up a few decibals as the packing settles and burns in. I've no regrets to using a Dynomax, Note, you can order them from Rockauto from the parts number and I've sent out a 5% discount code I can resend if you need it. Dynomax also has welded and stainless versions for those with less RM. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrac II " I realize that death is inevitable.
