Mark, As far as testing goes, if this was something that there was a market for, I would send Crane a block to design the cam and lifters as well as test fit them. Tom Jennings was asking about price. That is really unknown right now. A typical hydraulic roller cam and lifter set up for a V8 is between $900-1000. I would think they would be somewhere around that. There would have to be really strong support for this to move forward. I am just surprised with all of the 4.2 and 4.0s out there that no cam company has ever done this before. Again, it is probably because there is not a big enough market who will spend that kind of money on a 6 banger. Nick Alfano Performance 4849-76 st. The process ground to a halt becasue there was not enough people willing to foot the bill for the minimum order of blanks. IIRC, it cam in at about $1200 to put the mess together and being as it was untried and intested we fell short of getting any farther into it. If someone such as Crane would do the actual testing to make sure the things would work I believe they would sell. Yahoo strokers group and www.jeepstrokers.com would be the place to find out if there is current interest. I know I would like to have one, but I can't foot the bill for that kind of experimentation. If i could buy a setup that would be known to fit I would be very interested in it. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrac II " I realize that death is inevitable.
