I have an American locking cap, I think. Not sure. The screws that mount the neck are BEHIND the cap. You'll likely have to get the cap off to take the neck out! Do you have a spare neck? Locking caps have spring loaded tabs. You could just drill some holes in the neck to push the tabs in. But that would depend on locating where the tabs are!
