I'd be right stuffing that "o-ring" gasket on the 195.6, except that is proly not a good idea either.
Having to fool with sealer every time you retorque or adjust valves woul dbe a royal PIA.
Does that O-ring seal really allow leakage?
I know that light seepage was accepted norm of the day with the lack of really good sealers and poor pvc type systems.
I don't recal any real leakage problems. There weren't many left when I first hit the road, but 2 of my first 3 cars had the 195.6 in them.
As for capacity, how does that oil pump compare to the 199/232/258 pump?
