That is my thinking ands experience too.
I want to make sure technogloy and ring construction has not changed. 
It's been many years since I did this now!
I'm also trying to decide if I need to get another head and build the stroker fresh or swap parts?
I want to do a driver American and buying the extra stuff to build the stroker fresh will allow me to keep the American drivetrain complete.
There's also the possibility the stroker may end up in something else.

Theres a rusty but appears to be saveable 65 American Convert in Pittsburgh, Pa.  If I only did not have the Ambassador...
