Woah.
OK, I will go re-look at mine this weekend -- it's big, it's aluminum,
and it's got an overdrive unit (why I paid $450 for the setup, came from
the Least Coast). It came with yoke and multi-drilled AMC bellhousing.
Side shifted.
Hmm, the few web pages I can reach right now (at work; there seems to be
problems in the open internet) show a top-shifted iron transmission
(Jeep), but this authoritative page

says it was used with floor or column-shifted Gremlins. So WTF do I have
then!
