[Amc-list] ot- finally got my drag car running.

got a single plane holley street dominator intake. has a 750 holley carb. full procomp 6al ignition system. hooker super comp headers. thing cant hook up as it is now with the tires it has now. needs drag tires. then a serious shift kit for the tranny. i think its goin to be fast. i guess some high school kids rebuilt the motor. couldnt get it to fire, and couldnt get the gauge to show any oil pressure. well. wouldnt run cause dizzy was 180* out. gauge wouldnt show pressure cause the wire was broke. they hooked up a mechanical gauge, and tried spinning the pump with a drill. all good, except they were spinning the pump clockwise. these motors spin the dizzy/pump ccw. got the car for free. got it home, stuck drill on it, with an 18volt drill, half dead battery, i was still able to pull 50 lbs pressure. i think things are fine. fix all that junk. new dizzy, ignition box, plug wires, intake, carb, and the thing HAULS on the street now. faster than anything
 else i have ever had.... i have already gotten a little stripping done on the interior. got to get the rest of the heater/ac junk out. and then all the stuff out of the motor bay. should be about a 12 sec car before long. goal is 10's. :-D
